Missions
Supporting missionaries in their gospel endeavors is a priority for Evangelical Baptist Church. In the Great Commission, Jesus gave one of His final earthly directives, commanding His followers to share the good news of His death, burial, and resurrection.
And Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age. Matthew 28:18-20
It is our privilege, in collaboration with other churches, to support like-minded missionaries worldwide, and we do so in the following ways.
- Consistently lifting them up in prayer.
- Financially supporting them in their ministries on a monthly basis.
- Hosting them at our services so they can share what God has accomplished.
- Engaging with them for mutual encouragement about the work that remains to be done.
We are pleased to support missionaries so that those who hear them will believe and call on the name of the Lord.
For “everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” How then will they call on him in whom they have not believed? And how are they to believe in him of whom they have never heard? And how are they to hear without someone preaching? And how are they to preach unless they are sent? As it is written, “How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the good news!” Romans 10: 13-15
